Goa’s New Travel Rules: No COVID Tests, No E-Pass Needed To Enter

Goa

Getting to Goa will be a lot easier in September with the new Unlock 4.0 guidelines. In this context, Goans are asking visitors to strictly follow all health guidelines, including the use of masks every time they step out.
Here’s how:

  • You no longer need to get tested for COVID-19 on arrival.
  • You do not need to provide a negative certificate or isolate yourself.
  • There will be no restrictions on interstate travel as well, which means you won’t need an e-pass to drive to the state.

All these measures were announced by Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Monday. [However, an official at Goa Airport told CNT that though some changes were expected, as of 12 noon on Tuesday, there was no let up in entry rules. Till these rules are formally changed, visitors would need a negative RT-PCR test report or have to get tested on arrival and undergo a home quarantine until the results are available.]

Goa bars now open

In addition, the state has also opened up bars starting Tuesday, with all the necessary precautions such as social distancing, wearing masks and temperature checks.
